“Thank you very much to all of you for bringing us into your homes”
ASSOMUSICA THANKS ALL THE ARTISTS WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED
TO THE RAI1 MUSICAL MARATHON IN SUPPORT OF THE CIVIL PROTECTION
« We thank all the artists who performed on Rai1 last night, thanks for bringing us into your homes », is the comment of Vincenzo Spera, President of Assomusica to the laudable initiative of RAI1 Musica che unisce (Music that unites). (qui MATTEREI UN LINK DOVE CLICCARE SULLA TRASMISSIONE, O IN ALTRO MPUNTO CHE RITENETEl) The musical marathon aired yesterday in the early evening had the aim to raise funds in support of the Civil Protection. A unique show of its kind, which will enter the history of TV in its own way and which has had the merit of bringing together the greatest names of the Italian music, live from their homes, with original performances and without any advertising interruption. Once again, as after earthquakes, floods and natural disasters, Popular Contemporary Music gets in action not only to be close to people, but also and above all to raise funds to help the population concretely.
«It was an exciting evening, certainly an original way that somehow allowed us to get out of our homes and feel seated next to them, in the places where many of the songs we love are probably born. Thank you all», concludes the President of Assomusica.
During the program curated by Matteo Catalano and Alberto Di Risio, with the direction of Duccio Forzano and the narrative voice of Vincenzo Mollica, with moments of great emotion, Alessandra Amoroso, Andrea Bocelli, Brunori Sas, Calcutta, Cesare Cremonini, Diodato, Elisa, Emma, Ermal Meta, Fedez, Francesca Michielin, Francesco Gabbani, Gazzelle, Gigi D'Alessio, Il Volo, Levante, Ludovico Einaudi, Mahmood, Maneskin, Marco Masini, Marco Mengoni, Negramaro, Paola Turci, Riccardo Cocciante, Riccardo Zanotti (dei Pinguini Tattici Nucleari), Tiziano Ferro e Tommaso Paradiso have performed. Beside the singers, other contributions arrived by Luca Zingaretti, Paola Cortellesi, Pierfrancesco Favino and Roberto Bolle and messages from sportsmen like Andrea Dovizioso, Bebe Vio, Federica Brignone, Federica Pellegrini, Roberta Vinci e Valentino Rossi.
While supporting initiatives of this type, Assomusica, the Association of Organizers and Producers of Live Music Shows, which includes (almost) all the organizers of contemporary music business, continues to monitor the data relating to the real impact on the sector, of the provisions adopted by the institutions to deal with the spread of Coronavirus in Italy. The live music sector was in fact one of the first affected by the health emergency. According to the Association's estimates, at the end of May there will be a total of 4,200 skipped events, which will result in 63 million losses in just over two months for the live sector only. To these data are also added the losses linked to the related activities, which Assomusica estimates at no less than 100 million euros. Hence, the constant dialogue with the Institutions by the Association to reiterate the importance of an ad hoc intervention for the sector, capable of promoting recovery. “Let's not forget that behind these emotions, behind these events there is a chain of workers that is by now unprotected and that deserves to be adequately ward». Concludes Vincenzo Spera «Even with a possible guaranteed minimum wage that can allow us to return, after the emergency, to create those unique moments of sociability and happiness that only live music can give. Don’t give up! We will meet soon! »
